A strong commitment to a more responsible construction industry
We are committed to developing solutions that combine fire safety and environmental responsibility. Aware of the impact of the construction industry on the environment, we integrate sustainable practices into every stage of our production to reduce our carbon footprint, promote the circularity of materials and preserve natural resources.
Our commitment to sustainable development rests on three fundamental pillars: recycling raw materials, reducing CO₂ emissions and optimizing our logistics.
Geostaff fire dampers are available in a variety of configurations, including vertical and horizontal versions, to suit the specific needs of each project.
Recycling at the heart of our production
One of the main thrusts of our environmental approach is to recover waste and reuse plaster in our manufacturing process. Thanks to an internal recycling circuit, we are able to reintroduce some of our production waste into the manufacture of our boards and fire protection solutions.
Why is this essential?
- Less waste: gypsum is a precious natural resource that we reuse to optimize our consumption of raw materials.
- Less industrial waste: our approach limits the amount of waste sent to landfill.
- Responsible production: by promoting recycling, we reduce the environmental impact of our activity and contribute to a circular economy model.
Local, responsible production
Local and responsible productionWe favor local sourcing to limit our carbon footprint. Our main raw material, plaster, is sourced less than 100 km from our production site in Catillon- Fumechon, near Beauvais.
This proximity to our suppliers allows us to :
- Reduce transport distances and therefore greenhouse gas emissions.
- Encourage short circuits and support the local economy.
- Guarantee optimal traceability and better control over the quality of our materials.
Towards a more sustainable
industry
Our commitment to the environment doesn’t stop there. We are constantly thinking about ways to optimize our practices and develop new eco-designed solutions to meet the challenges of today’s construction industry.
We are actively working on improving energy efficiency at our production sites, developing new innovative solutions to further reduce the sector’s environmental impact, and raising awareness among our partners and employees.

Geostaff is committed every day to designing solutions that respect the environment, without compromising on the fire safety and technical performance of our products.
Quality and ecological approaches
Subjected to testing in approved laboratories such as EFECTIS, our solutions are designed to meet the strictest European standards in terms of passive fire protection.
In order to guarantee the performance of our systems, we have decided to set up annual certification audits to obtain the CE marking of our fireproof plates, by means of a daily inspection of our products.
Geostaff manufactures its products in France with French materials and raw material from French quarries.
In 2021, our fire resistant slabs were defined as meeting the highest Ecobau and MINERGIE-ECO requirements in the fields of ecology and health. In the same year, our products were certified by the laboratory Excell*, which awarded the label “Excell Zone Verte ambiance intérieure” to the fireproof boards GEOTEC®S and GEOFLAM® F-Light.
Finally, our products also comply with environmental and sanitary standards: the FDES and FDS sheets are available for our fireproof products.
