With our installation videos, become an expert in installation! Our videos allow you to visualise step by step the installation techniques for horizontal and vertical ducts and the fire protection of service ducts.
These videos are intended for the specific Geostaff glued/screwed installation. GEOTEC® smoke extraction ducts and ventilation ducts are made by juxtaposing GEOTEC®S boards of 1000 mm in length and 30 or 45 mm in thickness.
All boards are moulded to standard dimensions with a rebate on all four sides for 45mm thick ducts and on two sides for 30mm thick ducts, to facilitate their assembly.
GEOTEC® smoke ducts and ventilation ducts can also be made using GEOTEC®SX boards with a length of 1000 mm and a width of 1200 mm for thicknesses of 30 or 45 mm. These single dimension sheets have no longitudinal rabbets for easy cutting and assembly.
GEOTEC® Horizontal Smoke Extraction Duct [internal width up to 600mm]
Our video shows you the installation of a horizontal smoke extraction duct using our fire resistant GEOTEC®S boards. This video is valid for a horizontal duct with an internal width of up to 600 mm and mounted according to the Glue and Screw system.
For 1 hour fire rated (EI60) smoke and ventilation ducts: use GEOTEC® S30 fire resistant boards. For 2-hour fire rated ducts (fire resistance rating EI120): use GEOTEC® S45 fire resistant boards.
Horizontal smoke extraction ducts of large cross-section [internal width between 1001 and 1250 mm]
GEOTEC® smoke extraction and ventilation ducts are made by juxtaposing 1000mm long, 30mm or 45mm thick GEOTEC® fire resistant boards.

Here, the internal width of the fire-stop duct used is between 1000 and 1250 mm – 2-hour firewall (EI 120) – Standard EN 13501-3 Ventilation ducts – Geostaff glued/screwed system – CE certified GEOTEC® S fire-stop boards.
Horizontal smoke extraction ducts of large cross-section [internal width between 1250 and 2500 mm]
GEOTEC® smoke extraction ducts are made by placing 1000mm long GEOTEC® boards of 30 or 45mm thickness side by side.

Here, the internal width of the firewall duct used is between 1250 and 2500 mm – 2-hour firewall (EI 120) – Standard EN 13501-3 Ventilation ducts – Geostaff glued/screwed system – CE certified GEOTEC® S firewall boards.
GEOTEC® Vertical Fire Duct [internal width up to 1000 x 1000 mm]
The Geostaff video allows you to visualise the installation of a vertical fire-resistant duct using our GEOTEC®S range of fire-resistant boards. This video is valid for a vertical duct with an internal dimension of up to 1000 x 1000 mm mounted according to the Glued/Screwed system.
For 1 hour fire rated (EI60) smoke and ventilation ducts: use GEOTEC® S30 fire resistant boards. For 2-hour fire rated ducts (fire resistance rating EI120): use GEOTEC® S45 fire resistant boards.
Cable tray enclosures with GEOFLAM®C-light channels
This installation principle shows you how to use Geostaff fire protection ducts to protect your cable trays, gas ducts and other electrical components from fire.
The technical duct enclosures, classified according to EN 13501-2, can protect gas pipes, medical fluids, various pipes, or electrical cable trays up to a fire exposure time of 2 hours (EI 120 S).
