Fire-resistant access hatch
Fire-resistant access hatch
1-hr or 2-hr fire-rated access hatches, in compliance with current standards, are used in service shafts, solid walls or as passage openings in partition walls.
Fire hatches play an essential role in the passive fire protection of buildings, guaranteeing both access to service ducts and optimum resistance to the spread of fire. These hatches are specially designed to be integrated into service duct enclosures, fire-resistant walls and ceilings, to provide safe access to installations while maintaining the integrity of the structure in the event of fire. They protect occupants and limit material damage by preventing the spread of flames and smoke.
Geostaff fire hatches are available in a variety of configurations, including vertical and horizontal versions, to suit the specific needs of each project.

The concept of fire hatches
Geostaff fire-resistant hatches are available in sizes ranging from 200 x 200 mm up to 800 x 800 mm for horizontal installation, and from 200 x 200 mm up to 1500 x 1000 mm for vertical installation. With a fire-resistance rating of EI 60 and 120: 1 hour and 2 hours, our hatches can be mounted on our GEOTEC® and GEOFLAM® products.
The advantages of our fire hatches:
- Reliable product approved for installation on GEOFLAM and GEOTEC products,
- Locks available for our EI60 and fire hatches
- Easy to install,
- Equipped with two locking devices (cable and snap hook) for optimum safety retention.
GEOSYSTEM® and TCF vertical hatches are designed to be installed on service duct casings made with GEOTEC® and GEOFLAM® sheets. They offer fire resistance up to EI120, in compliance with EN 1634-1, guaranteeing effective protection against the passage of flames and smoke for 60 to 120 minutes.
These hatches feature a high-performance gypsum frame and a double leaf with secure closure, allowing easy access while maintaining fire-tightness.
TCF horizontal hatches are specially designed for installation in fire-rated ceilings and recesses requiring optimum fire protection. They are made from a reinforced aluminum structure and fire-resistant plasterboard, guaranteeing excellent mechanical and thermal resistance.
Their design includes an intumescent gasket that expands under the effect of heat, reinforcing smoke-tightness and preventing the spread of hot gases.
